Business History

The exclusive Mahoney/Marketing 7-step process – used for all the market analysis, strategy and planning projects we undertake – has also been called “Martial Arts Marketing” because it helps businesses conserve time, money and energy by leveraging the weight of key market segments that can dramatically increase your total sales.

Mahoney/Marketing’s Martial Arts Marketing process did not come out of any college textbooks, nor is it yet taught in advanced marketing courses. It evolved from more than 3 decades of personal, professional experience – starting with the highly respected General Electric Marketing Training Program, and brought to fruition in a variety of senior Marketing and Sales Management positions with leading manufacturers, such as Bausch & Lomb, as well as two national and international publishing firms:
